This one email changed my child’s life
Published about 20 hours ago • 3 min read
Hey Reader- Have you ever had a moment that changed the path of your life forever?
Six years ago, I received an email from a podcast listener. She told me she had been listening since the very beginning and felt compelled to reach out. She had heard me talk about my oldest daughter’s struggles and gently suggested that I look into Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS).
At first, I was offended. Who was this stranger to suggest a diagnosis for my child?
But then I looked it up.
My jaw dropped.
It explained so much of what we had been dealing with. I had taken my daughter to specialists her entire life, and no one could tell us what was wrong. From that moment on, I became a fierce advocate for her. She was eventually diagnosed with EDS, POTS, and dysautonomia. Just as importantly, it helped us understand her anxiety through the lens of her medical struggles.
This year, my youngest daughter began showing similar symptoms. But this time, I knew what to do.
That is the power of community.
Community isn’t just about connection. It’s about access to collective wisdom. It’s about learning faster, advocating sooner, and compounding your own experience through the experiences of others.
And sometimes, it’s the reason everything finally makes sense.
That’s what happens inside the AT Parenting Community. I never get tired of witnessing the rapid progress, the instant connection to resources, seeing parents get into the right local professionals, and the a-ha moments, when something I, or another parent says that suddenly makes everything click into place.
Private Opening to the AT Parenting Community
Any time I see a parent struggling with their child’s anxiety or OCD on social media (and I see it constantly 😩) I want to pour every ounce of hard-earned wisdom into them. There is so much we can do to support not only our children, but ourselves. Too many parents feel helpless, when in reality there are powerful, practical ways to move through this journey with more confidence and support.
But I see hundreds of comments and posts every day, and I can’t rescue everyone without losing myself in the process.
That’s why I created the AT Parenting Community. I wanted a space where parents are lifted up and supported by collective wisdom, not just a quick comment, but ongoing connection. A place where conversations don’t end after one reply, but continue day after day. Where people can truly get to know each other, cheer you on through the hard moments, and walk alongside you. A place where you have access to courses and weekly classes, and where you and your child can meet myself and others in zoom support group calls for real-time support and connection.
We keep the doors to the community closed most of the time to protect connection and prevent members from feeling overwhelmed by a constant stream of new faces. We typically open enrollment every three months, but when demand is high and the waitlist is overflowing, we offer a short, private opening. I’m excited to share that this is one of those moments. The doors are open until Wednesday, but that’s not even the best part…
The regular membership is $30 per month. But for the next 24 hours you can join at $25 per month, and that rate stays with you for as long as you remain an active member. Our standard membership rate will be increasing in February, which makes locking in this lower rate now especially meaningful.
If it feels better to have things settled ahead of time, you can also choose a 6 or 12-month option for additional savings and the peace of mind of knowing your support is in place for the months ahead.
This discount is available through Tuesday, December 16th at 9pm PT. After that, membership returns to the standard rate with the doors closing on Wednesday at 9p PT.
Join us and discover not only a wealth of knowledge, but a community of compassionate, kindhearted parents who truly understand what you’re navigating, and who will walk alongside you every step of the way.

In this episode, I’m breaking down why OCD is so often misunderstood in therapy, how to tell if...
