I have received many emails and messages with questions about the AT Parenting Community. I figured, if other parents are asking this, maybe you are wondering about it as well? That’s why I compiled the most common questions and answered them below. If you don’t see the answer to your question, just hit reply and ask us. 🟤 If my child doesn’t have a therapist or a diagnosis, can I still join? Of course! In fact many parents in the community don’t have one either. But they are taking the initiative to do everything in their power to help their child directly. It is important for parents to be proactive and not waste time while they are trying to find professional support. 🟤 My child has a therapist. Will this conflict with treatment? Absolutely not. In fact, many anxiety & OCD therapists refer families to us to get additional support and education. Anxiety/OCD is a family affair and parents need to have their support and their education as well. Kids do better long-term when parents set up their own therapeutic home environment. 🟤 What ages and issues are the members dealing with in the AT Community? We have parents who are raising kids of all ages, from toddlers all the way up to teens and young adults. Our members are dealing with a myriad of issues. We have members dealing with anxiety, OCD, some with PANDAS/PANS, others with multiple diagnoses including ADHD etc. 🟤 Can I cancel anytime? Yes, you can cancel at any time. Life should be simple and that’s why we have made it ridiculously easy to cancel. In just a click of the button you can stop your membership. 🟤 What if I don’t have time to take all the classes or dive into the resources? I know time can be short, that’s why all our classes are on-demand, and available on our app where you can watch them at any time and pause them along the way. You can also bookmark and “favorite” resources on the site and come back to read them later. All live zoom classes and support group calls are recorded and available on the app, so if you are too busy, you can watch them at your leisure. We even have a private podcast feed where you can listen to replays on the go! If you don’t have time to dive into the classes and just need answers, you’ll have myself and hundreds of other parents at your disposal to use as a soundboard. 🟤 Do I have to go on Facebook to benefit from the AT Community? Not at all. We have tons of members who never go on Facebook. All our live classes and support group calls are on Zoom and available in our app. Those classes and calls are recorded so parents can watch the replays on our app, in our member website or through our member-only podcast stream. You can even message me with your direct questions in our app! 🟤 If I don’t join now, but then change my mind, can I still join? Unfortunately we only open our doors a few times a year. This is so we can focus on the members who are already inside. Once our doors close tomorrow, we are unable to let parents join until our next opening. In order to be fair to all parents, we will be strict with this policy. 🟤 I live in another country. Will I still benefit? Yes, we have many members from over 24 countries including Australia, the UK, Canada, Israel, Denmark, Ireland, South Africa, Mexico and much more! The live zoom classes are all recorded and can be watched in the app or on the member website at any time. You can also submit questions in advance if you can’t watch it live to get your specific questions answered. ⏰ I hope this helps clarify any questions you might have had!

Are you struggling to find a child therapist who specializes in OCD? Or have you found someone who says they treat OCD, but clearly doesn’t have the expertise or knowledge to treat your child 😩. 💣 Here is a truth bomb… Believe it or not, most therapists are NOT given the specialized training to treat OCD. That’s a scary fact! And without that training, they can do more harm than good. Just ask parents who went to the wrong therapist. You shouldn’t have to sit around watching your child get...
Harm OCD is one of the most misunderstood OCD themes children and teens experience. These intrusive thoughts can be dark, scary, and completely out of character—causing intense fear and shame. Unfortunately, when therapists or parents don’t understand Harm OCD, kids can be mislabeled as a danger to themselves or others when in reality, they are terrified of these thoughts and desperate to make them stop. In this video, I’ll show you realistic examples of how Harm OCD can show up in everyday...
Helping our kids with anxiety and OCD can be counterintuitive; especially with OCD! Trusting your gut, or even an unskilled mental health professional, can sometimes make things worse. I learned that the hard way myself. After my kids had several bad therapists, I realized that my role was pivotal. Even now, with both kids seeing fantastic therapists, I am still the one dealing with their crises and immediate struggles 24/7. My guess is, so are you. That is why I don’t want you to miss the...
