Parents are in the best position to help their kids the most

Raising a child with anxiety or OCD can bring so much doubt and exhaustion. It can also bring so much instability for the whole family. It can impact your other children and it can put a strain on your relationships with other family members.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

When you are surrounded by other people who get your struggles, you feel heard. When you are in the company of people who have been where you are, you get answers. When other parents have your back, you feel less alone and more empowered to take this struggle on.

That’s why I created the AT Parenting Community. As a mom to three kids with anxiety and OCD, I get all the exhaustion and overwhelm anxiety and OCD can bring.

But as a therapist, I also get how powerful it is for a parent to get their own support to help their child directly. In fact, that’s exactly what I saw with the parents in my practice whose kids were having the most success. They didn’t depend on therapy to fix everything. They get that therapy is only part of the equation and that they are the rest.

In the AT Parenting Community parents will not only find people who “get it,” they’ll find a wealth of resources, support and help at their fingertips.

Unfortunately because I spend most of my time giving parents support inside the community, I am only doing this opening for 3 days. The AT Community is closing its doors today.

If you have been looking to get super-sized support on steroids. If you have been searching for a place where everyone gets anxiety and OCD. If you have been looking for a place where answers are simple, but effective...

4 tips for talking about OCD with family this holiday season

The holidays bring family members together for meals, traditions, and conversations—but when your child’s OCD becomes the topic of discussion, things can get intense. If you’ve ever wondered how much to share, how to correct misconceptions, or how to step in when comments cross a line, remember that you’re not responsible for making others understand, and you never have to share anything that you don’t want to. That said, if you do choose to educate family members, these tips can help make it feel more manageable.

NOCD Therapists specialize in treating OCD in children, teens, and adults. They accept most insurance plans and involve the whole family in treatment, empowering you and your loved ones to more effectively support your child. Book a free call to learn more.

We’ll see you over there!

Take care,
Natasha
