Are you using effective tools to help your child with anxiety or OCD?

As parents we have a front row seat to our child’s anxiety or OCD struggles. Their issues don’t stay neatly contained in a box. It explodes and impacts everyone around it.

-We inadvertently grow it at times.

-We coach (and sometimes beg) our kids to not listen to it.

-We see it hiding in our child’s behaviors (even when they deny it).

-We notice the impact it has on our other kids and on our adult relationships.

We don’t get a choice whether these issues impact our child and our family. But we do get a choice about what we do about it.

The good news is crushing anxiety and OCD isn’t rocket science. Parents just need a roadmap on how anxiety and OCD work and what steps need to be taken to start seeing some improvement.

That’s why I created two foundational parenting courses:

-How to Teach Kids to Crush OCD

-How to Teach Kids to Crush Anxiety

Both courses teach you all the foundational information you need to know about anxiety or OCD, as well as step-by-step instructions on how to implement therapeutic approaches at home. This will help supplement therapy or fill in the gap if you are waiting for services.

I also added supplemental courses to build on those:

-Crushing OCD for Kids and Teens:
A course kids and teens can take directly so they can feel empowered to help themselves.

-SPACE Study Course:
A course for parents to take even if their child isn’t ready to build skills. This is a parent-only course to slowly pull back accommodations one step at a time.

-Handling Difficult Behaviors Caused by Anxiety or OCD:
A course that has both parent, kid and teen videos to help improve those difficult behaviors that often come with anxiety or OCD.

-How to Crush Social Anxiety:
A course for both kids and adults with social anxiety to learn the skills needed to get your power back!

-How to Help Kids Who Struggle to Sleep:
A course for parents to learn the skills needed to help kids who are anxious around going to sleep.

My daughter and I started OCD treatment together. Here’s what we learned.

When Serenity began showing signs of OCD, she asked her mom, Cayla, "Why does my brain do this?" Cayla gently explained to Serenity that she had OCD too, and they could work through it together. Finding NOCD gave them both the specialized treatment and supportive community they needed. Now, Cayla says they’re both thriving in ways she never thought possible. Read their inspiring story to learn how evidence-based care can help your family, too.

NOCD Therapists specialize in treating OCD in children, teens, and adults. They accept most insurance plans and involve the whole family in treatment, empowering you and your loved ones to more effectively support your child. Book a free call to learn more.

Take care,

Are you struggling to find a child therapist who specializes in OCD? Or have you found someone who says they treat OCD, but clearly doesn’t have the expertise or knowledge to treat your child 😩. 💣 Here is a truth bomb… Believe it or not, most therapists are NOT given the specialized training to treat OCD. That’s a scary fact! And without that training, they can do more harm than good. Just ask parents who went to the wrong therapist. You shouldn’t have to sit around watching your child get...

Harm OCD is one of the most misunderstood OCD themes children and teens experience. These intrusive thoughts can be dark, scary, and completely out of character—causing intense fear and shame. Unfortunately, when therapists or parents don’t understand Harm OCD, kids can be mislabeled as a danger to themselves or others when in reality, they are terrified of these thoughts and desperate to make them stop. In this video, I’ll show you realistic examples of how Harm OCD can show up in everyday...

Helping our kids with anxiety and OCD can be counterintuitive; especially with OCD! Trusting your gut, or even an unskilled mental health professional, can sometimes make things worse. I learned that the hard way myself. After my kids had several bad therapists, I realized that my role was pivotal. Even now, with both kids seeing fantastic therapists, I am still the one dealing with their crises and immediate struggles 24/7. My guess is, so are you. That is why I don’t want you to miss the...
